Privacy Policy

SparkSprout is a learning app for children, and we designed it to collect as little information as possible. We show no advertising, we use no third-party analytics or tracking, and we never sell or shareyour family’s information. Accounts belong to parents and guardians; children never provide information to us directly.

SparkSprout is operated by Admiral Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). You can reach us any time at hello@sparksprout.app.

From parents (account holders):

• Your email address and a password, used only to secure your account.
• Settings you configure, such as practice reminder preferences.

About each child, entered by the parent:

• A first name or nickname and a chosen avatar.
• An age-appropriate interface level selected by the parent.

Learning activity, generated by using the app:

• Which practice cards were reviewed, the answers or difficulty ratings given, response times, streaks, badges, and placement results. This is the data that makes the spaced-repetition scheduling and the parent progress dashboard work.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers, and the app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics.

The optional “Say It” mode uses your device’s built-in speech recognition (provided by your browser or operating system) to check whether a word was read aloud correctly. Audio is processed by that built-in service; SparkSprout receives only the resulting text and never stores audio recordings. Parents can turn voice features off at any time in Settings.

To read words aloud, the text of the word (never any personal information) is sent to Microsoft’s text-to-speech service to generate the audio your child hears.

• To run each child’s personalized practice schedule.
• To show parents their child’s progress.
• To secure accounts (sign-in, email confirmation, password reset emails).
• To show practice reminders on your device, if a parent turns them on.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build profiles for any purpose other than the learning features described above, and we do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for their own use.

SparkSprout is designed for use by children under a parent or guardian’s account and supervision. We rely on parents to create accounts, add child profiles, and consent to the collection described here. The only information we hold about a child is what the parent enters (a name or nickname and avatar) and the learning activity the child generates in the app.

• Children cannot create accounts, share content publicly, or be contacted through SparkSprout.
• We never knowingly collect more information from a child than is needed for the learning features.
• A parent can review their child’s information in the app, delete a child profile in Settings (which permanently deletes that child’s data), or contact us to access or delete any information.

Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers: Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (application hosting). Each family’s data is isolated at the database level, and connections to SparkSprout are encrypted in transit.

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. Deleting a child profile permanently deletes that child’s data; deleting your account permanently deletes everything. Both options are available in Settings.

• Access, correct, or delete your information at any time in Settings.
• Turn voice features and reminders on or off per child.
• Email hello@sparksprout.app for any privacy request, question, or concern — including requests to review or delete a child’s information.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify account holders by email before the changes take effect.
